چکیده

The fruits of kiwifruit are well known for their abundant nutritional value and health benefits, but vines susceptible to environmental factors such as drought or waterlogging. Optimum substrate moisture content (SMC) can decrease cultivation costs improve the quality seedlings in soilless cultivation. To quantify water requirements seedlings, a greenhouse study was conducted investigate growth, antioxidant defense, photosynthetic parameters Actinidia valvata Dunn at six levels SMC (20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%, 120%). Results showed that shoot root dry matter accumulation increased gradually with increase from 20% 100% lower 120% than SMC. Electrolyte leakage malondialdehyde were lowest 80% Antioxidant enzyme activities, including superoxide dismutase, peroxidase, catalase, chlorophyll content, net rate, maximal quantum yield PSII photochemistry, electron transfer actual highest SMC, there no significant difference these between two treatments (80% SMC). However, weights 13.20% 33.02% higher those respectively. In summary, provided optimal supply efficiency shoots roots. results expected be useful mass production high-quality nursery containers, potential save water.

Preventive effect of Actinidia valvata Dunn extract on MNNG-induced Gastrointestinal Cancer in Rats

Gastric cancer remains a major global problem. In 2008, 989,600 new stomach cancer cases and 738,000 deaths occurred, accounting for 8% of the total cases and 10% of total deaths, respectively (Jemal et al., 2011). Notwithstanding the global declining incidence of gastric cancer, mortality is continuously rising in Asian countries (Hu et al., 2004). Surgery is considered as the gold standard fo...

Total Saponin from Root of Actinidia valvata Dunn Inhibits Hepatoma 22 Growth and Metastasis In Vivo by Suppression Angiogenesis

The root of Actinidia valvata dunn has been widely used in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), proved to be beneficial for a longer and better life in China. In present work, total saponin from root of Actinidia valvata Dunn (TSAVD) was extracted, and its effects on hepatoma H22-based mouse in vivo were observed. Primarily transplanted hypodermal hepatoma H22-based mice were used t...

Effect of priming and seed age on germination, photosynthetic pigments, and biochemical content of Quinoa seedling

To investigate the effect of quinine seed priming on morpho-physiological and biochemical traits of seedlings, a factorial experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design with four replications at the seed processing laboratory of the Shahed University of Tehran. Experimental factors included two levels of seed age (one-year old and four-year old) and four priming treatments (control...

Hepatoprotective Activity of the Total Saponins from Actinidia valvata Dunn Root against Carbon Tetrachloride-Induced Liver Damage in Mice

The protective activity of the total saponins from Actinidia valvata Dunn root (TSAV) was studied against carbon-tetrachloride- (CCl(4)-) induced acute liver injury in mice. Mice were orally administered TSAV (50, 100, and 200 mg/kg) for five days and then given CCl(4). TSAV pretreatment significantly prevented the CCl(4)-induced hepatic damage as indicated by the serum marker enzymes (AST, ALT...
